Frequently Asked Questions

What Time Should I Arrive?

We have two Sunday services, 8:30am and 10:30am. Services begin promptly at the scheduled times, so it is advisable to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the service. This will enable you to find your seat, check in your children and gather helpful information from our greeters.

How Long Are the Services?

Our Sunday Services run between 1 hour and 1:15 minutes in length.  A service can sometimes end in the form of what we call a “soft dismissal”. It is an official dismissal releasing the parents to go check their children out of their classes and to release people to fellowship.

What Should I Wear?

Come as you feel comfortable.  You will see everything from shorts to suits.  It is all truly O.K.

What Do You Offer for My Children?

Our Children’s ministries is called Cornerstone Kidz, and is led by our Children's Director, Jaclyn Mattison. We have two separate groups in Cornerstone Kidz:

  • Toddlers:  2-4 years of age
  • ELEMENTARY: Kindergarten through Fifth Grade

The Nursery is equipped with live streaming of the service for your convenience (not assisted by teacher).  See the Cornerstone Kidz page for more detail on our children's ministry.

What About Child Safety and Security?

We have an electronic check in system that assigns numbers to our children and their parents.  The numbering system is randomized and changes every week.  We have trained security on the inside and outside of the property doing routine checks to ensure the security of our children.  We also have a Policy and Procedure manual that is maintained regularly.  The policies are on display in every children’s ministries room, and a copy can be provided on request.

What Kind of Worship Music Do You Play?

Every week we open our service with a time of corporate praise and worship through the means of music and song.  We mostly play familiar choruses and contemporary worship music of today.  Our church is blessed with a full band from a wide variety of backgrounds in music.  All songs played, whether they be upbeat or more intimate, are all focused on bringing glory and honor to Jesus Christ.

How Do I Become a Member?

Pastor Chris offers a membership class once every quarter.  The class will be advertised prior to the date.  Simply sign up for a class and you will receive either an email or a personal call from Pastor as to the requirements of membership as written in our Constitution and By-Laws. They currently consist of being a follower of Christ, and attending four classes of our next steps program.

What About Communion?

Yes, we believe that anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ can and should receive Communion.  Our practice is to offer a corporate Communion service once a month on the second Sunday of that month.

What About Water Baptism?

Several times a year we provide an opportunity for believers to publicly confess their faith and engage in a full-immersion style of baptism.
